The Wandering Angel Project is a way to honor babies lost during pregnancy, and anyone else gone too soon, by sharing small acts of love in their memory.
Each angel is meant to carry love, strength, peace, and protection. Angels may be kept by the person who finds them or passed along to someone else who may need comfort.
The project was launched in June 2023 in memory of Adeline Kelly, whose life inspired the founding of Through the Heart. Since then, more than 5,300 Wandering Angels have been shared across communities.
How to Receive or Share a Wandering Angel
There are several ways to participate:
Comfort Kits
Each Comfort Kit includes two personalized Wandering Angels to help families remember their baby.
Find One
Wandering Angels are left in public places – on park benches, at events, in stores, or anywhere someone feels inspired to leave one. Angels have been left all across the U.S. and have even traveled abroad!
Request a Set
You may request a package of six angels to be created by our organization and mailed to you.
• Pre-made set (no personalization, assorted names): $1.99
• Personalized set (up to 20 characters including spaces): $3.99
Create Your Own
Many find it meaningful to create their own angel using colors or details that feel personal. We simply ask that you include the following wording so the finder knows it’s part of the Wandering Angel Project:

Although the project began as a way to honor babies lost during pregnancy, it has grown to include anyone no longer here. You are welcome to honor a loved one in whatever way feels right to you.
Share Your Angel’s Journey
The heart of this project is connection. If you leave or find a Wandering Angel, we’d love to see where it travels.
You can:
• Share a photo and location in our Wandering Angel Project Facebook group
• Email angel@throughtheheart.org
• Use #wanderingangelproject on social media
Thank you for being part of this growing community of remembrance and love.
